GREETINGS:
What a crazy year!
We thought healthcare was a recession proof industry with
ongoing project work available to those who were willing to work
hard and deliver a good job. Unfortunately, this assumption
was wrong, at least in terms of being recession proof.
The slow times have taken their toll in our industry. There
have been equipment planning and interior design firms that have
gone out of business and others have greatly reduced their staff.
During this time however, Euthenics has added a senior planner
( Bill Wells) to a full-time position
and have been working hard to develop new clients in our local
area.
We have concentrated our marketing efforts to the state of Florida
during the past year. This was based primarily on the fact that
we could "get more bang for our buck" by criss-crossing
the state by automobile instead of airplane. We could make more
day trips and have fewer overnight stays, etc. One really important
reason was that we felt the need to re-introduce our abilities
and experience to the Florida hospitals and healthcare architects.
This decision has proven to be very timely as Euthenics has
been engaged to provide planning and design services to more
Florida clients in a one year period than we have had in many
of our 32 years of business.
We also recognize how important our past association with
our existing clients has been in building our success in the
healthcare planning and design industry and we are intent on
re-establishing our working relations with each of them. We
plan to be in touch with all of our clients on a regular basis
and trust we can work together in the near future.
